I'm using a motorola MPx220 For me the trick was (as others) I had to delete and recreate the binding. This time I initiated the partnership from the device (previously I started from the desktop.) I'm using a IOGear bluetooth adaptor with "stock" XP/SP2 drivers ... I played around some more after being successful and found I dont need to open a COM port at all. Using ActiveSync 4.1 it has a "Bluetooth" connection setting. so I deleted the COM7 port and tried again, perfect. Only thing is now I cant UNCONNECT my phone from AS without pulling out the bluetooth adaptor ... oh well , not really a problem ! (Or you can go to Connection Settings and UNcheck the box next to Bluetooth) Thanks for this great page.
